Inside Look

Hi all! My name is Lauren Pankratz and I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Psychology and Spanish from EKU in 2019. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from EKU and I work for the Department of Educational Leadership and Counselor Education here on campus as a Graduate Assistant.

    “The Department of Languages, Cultures, and Humanities is more than an academic department; it is where a student can grow and achieve their goals. For me, it is a place where I found what my goals were, and achieved them. I was able to learn about culture and language more than I thought I would and use that to figure out what I wanted to achieve after college.

     "The Spanish program at EKU opened up a world of possibilities for me! I discovered a passion for language learning and cultural exploration in my introductory Spanish classes, and I was introduced to young people and faculty who shared that passion.
