Dr. Kathleen Kulp-Hill, Professor of Spanish
Dr. Kathleen Kulp-Hill, Professor Emeritus of Foreign Languages and Humanities, who taught Spanish at EKU from 1969 to 2006, died Friday, April 26, 2013 in Manhattan, Kansas, at the age of 76.
An internationally respected expert on Spanish literature, Dr. Kulp-Hill published two books about the literary works of Rosalia de Castro and spent more than 20 years translating, editing and perfecting a monumental translation of the 13th century “Cantigas de Santa Maria,” which contains more than 420 poems in honor of Holy Mary. This is the only complete translation into English.
