Graduate Assistant - Fall 2021: The Department of Language & Cultural Studies, Anthropology, and Sociology is currently seeking a Graduate Assistant to support efforts for Latino recruitment, retention, and graduation starting the Fall 2021 semester. Candidate will assist with university-wide efforts to increase recruitment and retention through peer mentoring, as well as community outreach and tutoring activities with Actividades Bilingues. Candidate will work closely with the Bobby Verdugo and Yoli Rios Bilingual Peer Mentor and Tutoring Center and the Director of Latino Retention and Recruitment. Required: candidates must be bilingual in Spanish/English. Evening and weekend hours required. Review of qualified candidates will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.

Part-time Faculty Pool - Spanish Studies (Fall 2021) - The Department of Language & Cultural Studies, Anthropology, and Sociology at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky is accepting candidate-pool applications for adjunct faculty to teach 1 to 3 Spanish language in-person courses on a semester-by-semester basis as determined by enrollment availability. Courses possibly offered include: SPA 101 and SPA 102, based on demand. Native or near-native speaker of Spanish language is required. Appropriate proficiency in oral and written English required. PhD preferred; Masters with minimum 18 graduate credit-hours in Spanish required. Degree(s) at time of appointment must be from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited institution and/or a recognized international university. This is for part-time positions only. The number of courses offered, one to three maximum, will vary on availability by demand. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal background check and educational credential verification.
