Jeniffer Paxtle Granjeno exemplifies the persona of Diversity Scholar
Jeniffer Paxtle Granjeno grew up in Hidalgo Mexico and immigrated with her family to Kentucky in 2009. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2018 as a first-generation student. She earned her BA in Spanish with a minor in Mathematics.
As an undergraduate, Jeniffer was in the Honors program and a Diversity Scholar. She also worked as a Spanish tutor and mentor at the Bobby Verdugo Peer mentoring and tutoring center.
Currently, she is completing her master’s in education at EKU and working as a Spanish teacher at Model Laboratory Schools. Jeniffer also works closely with the Spanish Department at EKU to offer service-learning opportunities to college students.
