Michael Rich, Associate Professor of Japanese at EKU, has been invited to guest lecture at The Citadel Military College in South Carolina for Dr. Keith Knapp's Honors 300: "Samurai in History, Literature, and Art." He will be presenting on Noh drama theater arts and its connection to the Samurai warrior class of Japan.
Dr. Martha Smith Conaway, retired EKU professor who taught English, German, Japanese and French languages at EKU, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 16. She was 90.

Dr. Eba Creel, Assistant Professor of Spanish. was recognized October 4, 2017 at the EKU vs. MSU women's volleyball game. Mx. Chloe Rojas, EKU student athlete and Dr. Creel's SPA 202 student, presented Dr. Creel with a Certificate of Appreciation at the winning game.
During the last two weeks of the 2017 summer semester, EKU Homeland Security senior and Certificate in Spanish recipient Bailey Cox attended the annual National Security Analysis and Intelligence Summer Seminar (NSAISS) hosted by the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC).
